Verdult False Suit Against Wealth Enterprises Corporation Dismissed
Much has been said and written about a suit filed by young, Troy Verdult in the name of his father William Verdult against Alton Perkins and Wealth Enterprises Corporation.
Here are the facts:
On 5 February 2008, this suit was dismissed. See attached.
Wealth Enterprises Corporation through its irrevocable lifetime agreement continues to maintain any and all rights to art created by William Verdult pursuant to the contract, including any and all image rights, intellectual property rights, the ability to issue Certificates of Authentication, as well as any and all rights associated with the original artist William Verdult.
It also should be noted that any artwork created in the past two years allegedly bearing the thumb print of Verdult is not authorized and is considered to be stolen art. The art is owned by Wealth Enterprises Corporation.
Details of the Court Action:
Troy Verdult, young son of William Verdult and James Scott Smith, on behalf of William Verdult attempted to file suite against Wealth Enterprises alleging that the Corporation owed Verdult monies and that the Corporation had breached the contract.
The Corporation filed a counter suit against Verdult. A mediation session was held between Troy Verdult and Wealth Enterprises, in Charlotte, NC. The Corporation, refused to make any concession to Troy Verdult and demanded immediate payment of monies owed.
A trial date was set and the Corporation represented by its attorney, and Alton Perkins showed up prepared to go to trial. However, Troy Verdult and William Verdult, failed to appear, and through the mutual agreement with the attorneys, the matter was dismissed.
In summary, as previously noted Wealth Enterprises Corporation continues to maintain any and all rights to Verdult artwork, intellectual property, images, and the Verdult name.
