William Verdult and William Verdult Enterprises found liable by the Superior Court for Defamation, including libel and slander
William Verdult and William Verdult Enterprises were slapped with a multi-million dollar entry of default judgment for defamation, slander and libel.
On, 3 March 2010 the Superior Court determined that the Verdults are libel for defamation including libel and slander against the Corporation and Alton Perkins, personally and based upon the attorney's pleadings and motion, entered an entry of default. An entry of default is a formal entry by the Court that recognizes that William Verdult and William Verdult Enterprises are liable to the Corporation and Alton Perkins personally, for defamation. After entry of default, the Verdults are deemed to have admitted the allegations of the complaint and are now liable for their actions.
In short, all allegations in the Corporations' and Alton Perkins' complaint have now been found to be in fact true.
Following an entry damages and punitive damages will be assessed by the Court. The Verdults, the Court found over a four year period carried out a systematic scheme to defame, libel, slander, hurt and injure the Corporation and Alton Perkins personally, therefore the Court found the Verdults liable and a entry of default has been entered.

Entry of Default for Defamation Suit Against William Verdult and William Verdult Enterprises
The Corporation and Alton Perkins (personally) received a multi-million dollar entry of default judgment against the Verdult’s for defamation, libel and slander.
The entry of default judgment was recorded by the Clerk of the Superior Court, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
The defamation, libel and slander suit resulted from Troy Verdult and William Verdult knowingly posting on www.verdultpaintings.com, yahoo.com, and YouTube and other places on the Internet false and misleading information that were defamation, libel and slander.

The Superior Court will determine the actual damages and punitive damages for the defamation caused by William Verdult and Troy Verdult. It is expected that the damages and punitive damages shall be in the millions of dollars.
The Corporation and Alton Perkins, personally, will take aggressive action to place liens on any and all artwork created by William Verdult on or after January 12, 2006. In addition, the Corporation and Alton Perkins personally, will begin executing on the judgment. Any and all personal property, real estate, homes, web addresses, watches, cars, art, and any other items of value and or otherwise in the possession of William Verdult, Troy Verdult, or William Verdult Enterprises and or their assigns will be pursued until the multi-million dollar entry of default judgment has been satisfied.
In addition to the markup for damages and punitive damages, the Superior Court, will issue a restraining order against William Verdult, William Verdult Enterprises, and any and all websites that they are associated with the Verdults requiring the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to not only take down the defamation, libel and slander, but to post a public written apology to the Corporation and Alton Perkins personally.
